Re: Location of A/C blower transistor by anchored Mon Dec 07, 2020 1:53 am if you are replacing it, do two things to greatly increase the life of it. Thermal compound between the transistor and metal. and use a beefier transistor.

I went through hell until I used a beefier one for the heater transistor. Both the fan speed transistor and the heater blower transistor can be check as NPN transistors. (Two negatives and one positive) Check your new transistors before installing them Mount the new transistor in, resolder all the components, and then cut off the excess on the legs.

Seems to me like it is only made of 3 components so it should be fairly cheap.
