Several years ago the museum was closed for renovation when we were in Munich, but our hotel concierge arranged for us to get on an english speaking tour, and there was no charge. I haven't booked the tickets yet so if anyone has suggestions, thank you! BMW Welt's hours are much more extensive than the Museum's, and admission is free. When you leave BMW Welt, it's a quick walk over the pedestrian bridge to the Olympic Tower, where from 185 meters high you have an awesome view of Munich and environs.

BMW Welt is in Munich's north-west, a short stroll away from the Petuelring S-Bahn station.
