The A90 Supra, based on the Lexus IS300, delivers a balanced blend of agility and accessibility, with a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six producing around 340 horsepower. Its lightweight chassis and tuned suspension emphasize responsiveness, making it ideal for spirited driving in urban and twisty road conditions. Externally, the A90 features a bold, angular front fascia and a more restrained rear profile, reflecting its earlier generation aesthetic.

In contrast, the A91 Supra marks a major redesign, offering enhanced aerodynamics, upgraded engine management, and refined interior quality. Powering the A91 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six with increased output—typically around 375 horsepower—delivering sharper acceleration and higher top-end speed. This power surge is supported by improved turbocharging and revised engine tuning. The A91 also introduces modern driver aids, such as adaptive cruise control and enhanced stability systems, elevating both comfort and safety.

Design-wise, the A91 adopts a sharper, more aggressive stance with a revised front bumper, sloped headlights, and a wider stance that improves stability at high speeds. Internally, upgraded materials and digital instrumentation enhance usability, while the A91’s layout retains the A90’s driver engagement but with added ergonomics. These enhancements make the A91 a compelling choice for those seeking a more refined yet potent Supra experience.

I'm still going to use A90 for 2020 2 ports and A91 for 2021+ 6 port engines. As I posted before: It's easier to defer to A90 for the 2 port cars and A91 for the 6 port cars. Most shops that work on these platforms do that.

For me, " A91 Edition " and " A91 CF Edition " are the actual names of the "special editons" of 2021+ cars used to squeeze more money out of consumers. And for those that. Can somebody explain the difference between A90/A91, "GR" Supra, and when it'd be used over MK5? I'm pretty familiar with the current gen Supra and have driven one before it's just confusing to me why some people will put GR in front and some won't, some will say A90 and some will say A91.
The 2021 Supra adds the limited-edition A91 Edition alongside a new four-cylinder engine option and updates to last year's six. There is a lot of confusion about what is an A91 Supra. This goes over the differences between them.
Spoiler alert, 2021+ doesn't automatically make it an A91. Shop for all your performance parts. The Toyota GR Supra (model code J29/DB or A90/A91 for marketing purposes) is a sports car manufactured by Magna Steyr for Toyota since 2019.
The fifth-generation Supra, the GR Supra was sold under and developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) brand in collaboration with BMW. The Toyota GR Supra (A90/A91) is an S-segment sports car that marks the return of the iconic Supra nameplate, blending modern performance with a storied heritage. Developed in collaboration with BMW, it features a bold, aggressive design with flowing curves, a low stance, and distinctive headlights that highlight its sporty intent.
Sharing its platform with the BMW Z4, the GR Supra is finely. I can tell 2023 a91 is limited version only difference is cognac interior, red supra badge at the rear, red strut bars in the engine compartment a91 comes two colors c u later and pearl white. A90s do not have pearl white color.
I know this cause my initial deposit was for an a91 and later I changed it cause an allocation was coming to my. What sets the A90 apart from a loaded 2020 premium? They're all A90s. All 2019+ Supras are A90s.
Even the A91 is an A90 (confusing I know). All trim levels are A90. It's like a chassis code, but it's not actually the chassis code (bleh).?Buy a Shirt?? @a90_nojz?build thread? Femto/Russia/Finland ECU Status??A90 or A91?
Auto vs Manual So I found the pic of the fully loaded a91 mt 2023 3.0 Premium with a full tank of gas vs a 2021 3.0 Premium with slightly less gas in the tank. So the 23 premium manual in the Supra is only 10 lbs lighter on the front end than a 21 premium automatic. They are essentially the same.
The a91 is being used with their special editions. So for example for 2022 they had an a91-cf edition. Which simply put is the carbon fiber edition.
All of the differences though we cosmetic bits to the exterior of the car made of carbon fiber and if I'm not mistaken I believe they had an extra option for like interior as far as seat material/different color.
