A subreddit to discuss everything Toyota C-HR! Please stay on topic and don't post advertisements. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and also new to car buying. I'm currently looking at a used 2018 Toyota C-HR XLE, at a nearby dealership, that has 21,985 miles on it and is being sold for $18,580.

Since this is my first car purchase, I wanted to check with experienced people before acting on. Full of tech - blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, auto parking, full LED front and rear lights, Toyota Safety Sense, JBL sound system, etc. In addition to the 1.8 hybrid there's a 2.0 available now, with around 180HP.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard since the facelift. Really ticks all the boxes for me. Toyota has been making hybrids since the late 90s.

It's not new to them and there are toyota hybrids going strong even with 300k km under their belt. Toyota hybrids are so long-lasting because the battery is never 100% full or 0% empty. Anyway, I have a 2020 CHR hybrid that hasn't had a single problem yet (bought and registered in 2021).

Reliability Any insight on CHR reliability? Are owners happy or regret their decision after driving it a while? Considering a CHR and pre-ordered one, just looking for some insight for those they have the vehicle. I bought the 2021 CHR XLE Premium, in Canada. Unfortunately, in Canada we don't get all the models so no hybrid model: (, but I don't have any problems or major issues with it.

I would recommend to get the XLE model, having heated seats and steering wheel is an absolute must (if you're living in an area with snow). The newest thing is the cvt transmission, and Toyota is right at the front of tech for quality reliable CVT's that don't feel like crap, because they've been making them for 20 years for the Prius. I watch a mechanic that remarked he's never seen a cvt go out in a corolla, and the CHR is basically just a bigger sexier Corolla.

The combined performance & economy are decent enough for pretty effortless everyday driving but you will have to drive a 2 litre hybrid yourself to decide if it suits you. 2022 C-HR 2 litre hybrid GR Sport JBL, Alcantara in Scarlet Flare, Toyota premium horns & heated steering wheel.
