Renco Has Used Lego: Discover The Creative Building Blocks Story

Overview of Renco Has Used Lego

Renco has used Lego -like blocks made of repurposed materials to build an apartment block in Palm Springs designed by architecture studio Arquitectonica.

Since the RENCO Structural Building System is made up of blocks, the methods used to build with children's toys like wooden blocks and LEGO bricks still apply and are the same methods that continue to make the most sense. "You get one monolithic wall structure when you glue everything together the way you do.

RENCO USA Brings Lego

RENCO has brought its mineral composite, fiber-reinforced (MCFR) building system to residential construction to design strong, resilient, and sustainable structures.

Renco's interlocking modular building blocks taking shape on ...

Renco's modular building blocks can withstand a Category 5 hurricane. Renco described their product as "a real-life Lego kit," consisting of moulded modular building blocks that interlock to form complete structures. This modular building method was first used in Florida, with the construction of a 96-unit building.

But a revolutionary new construction technology —interlocking, Lego -like building blocks —could provide a game-changing solution. Florida-based company Renco USA has developed a modular building system that allows homes and apartments to be built faster, stronger, and at a lower cost than traditional methods.

RENCO USA to Build LEGO

RENCO USA Co-Founder Tom Murphy, Jr. has spent more than 50 years in the construction industry. As the CEO of Coastal Construction, he's helped build some of the region's most iconic projects, from the new Aston Martin Residences to the Four Seasons Surf Club—but for Murphy, RENCO means much more.

Renco's mineral composite, fiber-reinforced wall material interlocks in a manner similar to Lego bricks. The only tools a crew of about 11 workers needed were glue guns to dispense a proprietary ...

The future of construction

Renco structures are designed to last two to three times longer, drastically reducing the need for rebuilding and the associated carbon footprint. Renco's LEGO -like structures can also be assembled more quickly than traditional construction, which can take months or even years due to material shortages and labor delays.

RENCO developed real-life LEGO -like blocks made from advanced composite materials for the construction industry, capable of withstanding the forces of a Category 5 hurricane.
