Small Engine Blowing Oil Out Breather

-->

Small Engine Blowing Oil Out Breather. I have been working on my old craftsman/roper (mid 80's) garden tractor with a b&s flat head 18hp twin engine model 422437. I have another craftsman with a similar prob but ill leave that out for now but the breather will fill the intake with smoke and kill the engine so i am trying to figure out best plan of approach on both.

Fortunately this engine does not. You cannot leave fuel in the tank of any small engine over winter. Some fuel has entered the engine where it has diluted the engine oil, and raised the oil level to the height that some was pushed out the breather. But once it gets cold out, the engine will spew large quantities of oil out of the crankcase breather vent. I have changed the oil and filled it with.
