Installing Windows 10 from a CD: A Step-by-Step Guide

In the digital age, it's easy to overlook physical media like CDs. However, there are still instances where you might need to install Windows 10 from a CD, such as when setting up a new computer or reinstalling the operating system. This guide will walk you through the process, ensuring a smooth and successful installation.

Preparation: Gather Your Materials

Before you begin, make sure you have the following items:

A Windows 10 CD or DVD
A computer with a CD or DVD drive
A valid Windows 10 product key
Any necessary drivers for your hardware on a separate USB drive (optional but recommended)

Boot from the CD

To start the installation process, you'll need to boot your computer from the Windows 10 CD. Here's how:

Insert the Windows 10 CD into your computer's CD or DVD drive.
Restart your computer. As it boots, look for a message on the screen telling you to press a key to boot from the CD. This key is usually something like F12, F10, or Esc, depending on your computer's manufacturer. The message might flash by quickly, so keep an eye out for it.
Press the appropriate key to boot from the CD. If you miss the message, don't worry. You can usually get into your computer's BIOS or UEFI settings by pressing a key like Del, F2, or Esc during boot-up. Once there, look for an option to change the boot order and make the CD drive the first boot device.

Install Windows 10
