Raven Coloured Eyes

The left eye is a deep yellow exactly like that of a Currawong; the right eye is the typical pale blue of a Raven. I don't think I've ever seen any bird with different coloured eyes. It also seems coincidental that Ravens and Currawongs are so similar in size and plumage.

Could this be a hybrid of some kind, or just a random mutation? The Little Raven, prevalent in southeastern Australia, thrives in diverse habitats, from coasts to scrublands. This bird, slightly smaller than its cousin, the Australian Raven, is more socially inclined, forming large feeding flocks.
