In the episode the restaurant had many of the same. Yanni's, a Greek-themed restaurant located in the heart of New York City, became the subject of intense scrutiny and dramatic flair when it was featured on Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares." This popular series showcases Ramsay's challenges as he attempts to save struggling restaurants from bankruptcy and closure. When Yanni's came under Ramsay's watchful eye, it was clear.

Ramsay's unique ideas changed numerous places, with many still in the business. So, which are the Kitchen Nightmares Restaurants that are still open in 2025? To my surprise, they are still going strong. The father/husband was an abusive ahole and I'm hoping that was due to stress and he got his shit together. The goal of Kitchen Nightmares is to turn things around at desperate restaurants, but which ones are still open? Most of the restaurants from "Kitchen Nightmares" are long gone, but some benefited from Gordon Ramsay's help.

Here are some of the ones still around. Peter Avgoustiou-Owner/Chef Karen-Owner/Peter's wife Alyse-Cook/Peter's daughter Tariya-Waitress/Peter's daughter Yanni's Greek restaurant was founded in 1984 by Peter's father Yiannis. In 2007, Peter took it over.

According to his wife and daughter, Peter is stuck in the past, and refuses to change, and sees no reason to. The family struggles to pay bills and they've even lost their health.
