I've recently noticed that the lights on my BMW start flashing when it's parked, and it's a bit unsettling. I'm not sure if this is a normal behavior or if there's something wrong with the car. Lights randomly flashing? All times are GMT -5.

The time now is 04:04 AM. Parked my car with the sunroof tilted up and left it in a parking lot for 4 hours. When I returned the rear tail lights were flashing (didn't check the fronts).

They turned off when I unlocked the car. Packed stuff in the car and relocked, left it there and went to a restaurant across the parking lot. Within 10 minutes the alarm started going off.

I've always been in the habit of keeping an eye on the reflection of my headlights in the car in front of me at a stoplight - mostly to make sure a headlight isn't out. Anyway, noticed that my headlights were flashing on/off by themselves. I typically keep my headlights in Auto mode, and this was late afternoon (~3:00pm), so plenty of sun out.

Car not turning off and sporadic headlight flashing All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:20 AM.
