From 1969 till 1990 Heidegger, next to the dealership of BMW and Alpina, also kept busy tuning BMW engines. Aside of that he was for many years active in auto sports and the results were very good. Thankfully that car survives to this day, as does Heidegger's BMW dealership and tuning shop.
