We'd disagree though - it would've been a good addition for some extra storage. Storage space is adequate but some competitors offer more. Driving experience.

The i7's raised floorpan reduces trunk space slightly, from 19 cubic feet to 18, and there's no frunk to make up for the loss. Nope. No BMW EV has a frunk, except for the i3 even though it has the shortest overhang of any BMW EV oddly enough.
I honestly think frunks are overrated. However, if the overhang is this long you might as well put one in. Reply reply audigex.

When I was switching up from an EQS, it honestly was a debate between Lucid, Rivian and BMW. BMW lost my vote due to no frunk and the grill design, but it's still interesting to see the final result here. Frunk (on Rear-Engine eDrive50)? All times are GMT -5.

BMW hasn't officially stated why the i5 doesn't have a frunk, but unofficially, the reason is that too few customers actually use it to make investing in designing it worth it. BMW currently uses the empty engine bays of its EVs to stash electronics and hoses, which does eat into the frunk space.

The frunk sealing does what it's designed to do and was easy to install using only adhesive Velcro strips.
The iSeal is an interesting design that would probably also work well.
