Hello everyone, I am currently in the process of taking the engine out of my 2001 325ci. The only thing I am stuck on is the lift points where to take it from? Anyone have any suggestions. Once i get that information i am ready to yank it out.
Please and thank you! I'm doing a oil pan gasket replacement and was wondering where I should lift the engine from. I have a engine support bar but My M54 doesn't have the hole on the top for the support bar as seen on the top picture. Help.

Hi guys, my oil pan in M54 engine is leaking. If anyone of you have done this DIY before, can you tell me if the engine support bar tool in the link below is the correct tool for lifting the M54 engine? I am deciding whether to buy the tool and do it as a DIY or get it done outside. Reason to ask, is because the lift point on M54 is in the middle but this tool has two lifting points, so it is.
