Green Bathroom Reddit

In a bathroom, proper ventilation and a good quality paint is much more important than the type of drywall you use. Greenboard isn't generally used anymore by most contractors. The general consensus is that it doesn't fair any better than regular drywall that is properly finished.

What are your thoughts on a painting a small bathroom a medium to darkish green? I was about to paint it green but then saw this video that green is one of the worst colors to paint a bathroom because it makes your skin color look funny in lighting. Noooooo! No green for bathrooms! The light will reflect the color back onto your face and you'll always look sickly. If someone does their make up in this bathroom they'll come out looking ridiculous. We did a recent remodel with one bathroom done in a light blue tile very similar in style to the green tile (some color variation, looks handmade).

For the bathroom floor we used a neutral very light beige/off. The best advice I can give is to see if you can take out a drawer and take it to a tile store to help find tile that will compliment the green color well. Sale associates at tile stores are really good at helping choose tile.

Definetly get some tile samples to take home to put in the space with the vanity to test out in the room. Are you only wallpapering one wall? I ask because in theory if you're wallpapering every wall, then the green no longer matters as it would be covered up- which would allow you to look at wallpapers outside of green. If you're only doing an accent in the bathroom, this wallpaper would definitely look lovely amongst the green.
