IKEA Applaro Gateleg Outdoor Table: A Comprehensive Review
The IKEA Applaro Gateleg Outdoor Table is a versatile and stylish addition to any outdoor space. This table, with its unique gateleg design, offers functionality and aesthetics that make it a popular choice among homeowners. Let's delve into the details of this exceptional piece of furniture.
Design and Aesthetics
The Applaro table is characterized by its clean, modern lines and a timeless design that blends seamlessly with various outdoor decors. Crafted from solid acacia wood, it boasts a warm, natural finish that complements the rustic charm of wooden furniture. The tabletop is smooth and sturdy, perfect for hosting meals, games, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee.
One of the standout features of the Applaro table is its gateleg design. The two legs are hinged at the top, allowing them to fold up against the tabletop when not in use. This not only saves space but also adds a touch of elegance to the table's appearance.
Durability and Weather Resistance
Acacia wood is known for its durability and resistance to rot, making it an ideal choice for outdoor furniture. The Applaro table is also equipped with a protective clearcoat that helps safeguard it against sunlight, rain, and snow. However, it's essential to note that while the table is weather-resistant, it's not entirely weatherproof. Regular maintenance, such as applying a fresh coat of sealant and storing it indoors during harsh weather conditions, will ensure its longevity.
Assembly and Size
The Applaro table is easy to assemble, with clear instructions provided. It typically takes around 30 minutes to an hour to put together, depending on your DIY skills. Once assembled, the table measures 39.4" L x 21.7" W x 29.5" H, providing ample space for four to six people.
When the gatelegs are folded up, the table's length reduces to 21.7 inches, making it easy to move around and store. This feature makes the Applaro table an excellent choice for small balconies or apartments with limited outdoor space.
Price and Warranty
One of the most appealing aspects of the IKEA Applaro Gateleg Outdoor Table is its affordable price point. Priced at under $200, it offers excellent value for money. Moreover, IKEA offers a 1-year limited warranty on this product, covering manufacturing defects.
Care and Maintenance
To keep your Applaro table in top condition, it's recommended to clean it regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish. If the table starts to look dull, you can revive its appearance by applying a fresh coat of sealant.
