"Save Little Lives: Guinea Pig Rescue NYC"

Guinea Pig Rescue NY: A Haven for Furry Friends in Need

Nestled in the heart of New York, Guinea Pig Rescue NY is a beacon of hope for countless guinea pigs seeking a second chance at a loving home. This non-profit organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming guinea pigs in need, providing them with a safe haven until they can find their forever families.

Our Mission and Values

At Guinea Pig Rescue NY, our mission is clear: to improve the lives of guinea pigs throughout the tri-state area. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, educating the public about the unique needs of guinea pigs, and advocating for their welfare. Our values are reflected in every aspect of our work, from the care we provide to the animals in our rescue to the support we offer to adopters and the community.

Rescue and Rehabilitation

Guinea Pig Rescue NY takes in guinea pigs from a variety of sources, including shelters, owners who can no longer care for their pets, and even hoarding situations. Upon arrival, each guinea pig receives a thorough medical examination and any necessary treatment. Our dedicated team of volunteers provides loving care and socialization, helping the guinea pigs to regain their confidence and prepare for their new homes.

Adoption Process

We believe that every guinea pig deserves a loving, responsible home. To ensure that our rescue pigs go to the best possible homes, we have a thorough adoption process. Prospective adopters must complete an application, provide references, and meet with our adoption team. We also require a home visit to ensure that the environment is safe and suitable for a guinea pig. Our goal is to find the perfect match for each guinea pig, ensuring that they will be loved and cared for throughout their lives.

Educating the Community

Guinea Pig Rescue NY is committed to educating the public about the unique needs of guinea pigs and the responsibilities of pet ownership. We offer workshops and seminars on guinea pig care, as well as resources and support for new and experienced guinea pig owners alike. By empowering the community with knowledge and resources, we can help to reduce the number of guinea pigs in need of rescue and improve the lives of those already in loving homes.
