Most bathroom sinks use 1-1/4", but to be sure, just take a piece of the existing drain with you to the hardware. If your dead set on this drain/they're all this size, you could open up the wall, cut the vertical drain pipe and install a new sanitary tee lower, than use a coupling to tie the vent back in. even if your not great at drywall its under the sink so it doesn't have to be perfect.

The top of the. The good news is the right side (closest to the ultimate drain, the most downhill,) fits perfect. The waste pipe into the wall is directly behind the sink tailpipe and I have enough room to fit a p-trap.

I have some questions about the left side. It too is directly inline, however it extends out a bit more because I elected to put on a AAC valve. A drain kit is designed for a typical drain, and some drain situations are not typical.

A straight pipe that is too long can be cut, but one that is too short must be extended. All the parts you need to extend a drain pipe can be purchased from any home improvement store. In my experience, one of the biggest mistakes made by do.
