Whether that be stress-eating Steak n' Shake at 2 a.m. or carb-loading at E-Hall before hitting UREC, quality food is essential for fueling the body in a way that's beneficial to students and faculty alike.

Orientation: Dining FAQsMeal Punches are included with your meal plan and can be used three different ways: 1) as entry into our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, D-Hall and E-Hall; 2) as a "Duke Deal" complete meal exchange at select retail and national brand locations; or 3) as a $7 equivalency for items at select retail locations.

The all-you-care-to-eat dining hall also includes stone-oven pizza, flame-grilled favorites, soups, sandwiches, and an extensive salad bar. The name of the new dining hall pays homage to the former which was known on campus as D-Hall, built in the mid-1960s. This new dining hall reflects James Madison's high level of commitment to providing its students with exceptional campus food and facilities.
