Kettle Black Kitchen is a cozy little restaurant on Monroe Street that serves French-inspired American cuisine. I started my meal with the pate de campagne ($10), and you should, too. Our entire experience at Kettle Black Kitchen was superb.

The cocktails (margaritas and manhattans) were spot on. All of the dishes were delicious and flavorful and included the street corn, cacio e pepe, potato and cheddar soup with friend chicken (wow, wow, wow), Faroe Island salmon, half chicken and flat iron steak.
