The Tyrannosaurus rex, commonly known as T-rex, is believed to have had good color vision based on scientific studies of its eye structure. Studies suggest that T-rex had color-sensing cone cells, which are essential for detecting different colors. These cone cells function in a similar way to those in modern birds and some reptiles, which are known to have excellent color vision.

The presence. The questions you are asking require reconstructing soft tissues, so science can come to a reasonably accurate conclusion, but it is not 100% because there are no dinosaur eyes to study. That being said, birds and reptiles see in color, so it's likely but not proven that dinosaurs saw in color.

A team reverse engineered what they think was dinosaurs main light capturing protein. The reality. I know bones aren't exactly supposed to give you knowledge regarding prehistoric vision We can actually know quite a bit from bones.

For example, they've used the size and position of the T. rex's eye sockets to calculate the visual clarity and binocular range. It has sharper eyes than any creature alive today.

Possibly more than any creature ever studied. It also depends on when the creature. This is of course if t.rex was a complete nocturnal hunter, i see no reason as to why T.rex would have black eyes if it didn't primarily hunt at this time, so for this we'll go under the assumption that it did.

So why do i think black of all colours? not all nocturnal predators have black eyes, take for example Felines. It's weird because they could just make Big Eatie grey or dark brown, like two of Mattel's figures (the extreme chomping rex repaints, which are pretty awesome). They already included Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus and Sinoceratops with morphs that resemble the toys' colors, aside from the movie colors.

In some scenes Big Eatie looks "blueish. That means paleontologists don't know for certain what color any of the dinosaurs were. Did T Rex have color vision? Sight: T.

rex had an eye about the size of a softball, one of the largest eyes ever developed in the animal kingdom. But for example, the pachycephalosaurs have such large, glistening, expressive eyes, as did the austroraptor, that seems to give them an almost mammal. From cute, simple dinosaur designs to detailed scenes set in the Jurassic era. The color scheme of the D. rex consists of yellow with dark-brownish splotches and markings in the back, arm, legs, and tail, a white underbelly, orange eyes and jagged teeth.
