The 1954 Turin Car Show brought their answer in the form of the Iso Isetta. BMW-Germany began redesigning the Isetta for the 1955 model. By 1957, the Isetta 300 Moto Coupe Deluxe was introduced with longer, sliding side windows to replace the original bubble window design. Although the major elements of the Italian design remained intact, BMW re-engineered much of the car's mechanicals.

1957 BMW Isetta 300 Cabriolet Renzo Rivolta, an Italian, developed the Isetta to create an economical car that was a cross between a motorbike and automobile and in 1953, Iso motors launched the car. The 1957 BMW Isetta 300 on offer was the recipient of a comprehensive restoration that was completed in 2004. A collection of invoices on file from the period details the thousands of dollars spent in an effort to return the vehicle to superb condition.

Now 20 years later, the Isetta still shows wonderfully, finished in a period. When the original BMW Isetta hit the scene, it featured a 236cc, 12-horsepower motorcycle engine. But, thanks to regulations adjustments, 1956 saw the introduction of the 300 model and its 298cc, 13 horsepower engine.
Interestingly, that micro engine spins torque to a tough little 4-speed transmission that's ready to hit the pavement running.
