Hartge is a tuning company that specialises in tuning/modifying cars made by BMW. The modifications range from suspension upgrades, tuning of standard engines and also engine conversions. 1985→1989 Hartge H35-24 The H35-24's were the top model in Hartge's 1980's E30 H35 line up and was released in October of 1985.

Conversions began on the BMW E30 range in 1981 initially as a tuning house until in 1985 when Hartge were granted manufacturer status by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA). GC: Basically, Hartge took the standard 325i engine and bored it out to 2.6-liters with some headwork, a full header-back exhaust, lower suspension, and new programming. The body has the BMW M-tech package, which is the bumpers, side skirts, I believe the rear spoiler is Hartge, and the side vinyl and trunk "Hartge" badge.

This 1986 BMW E30 received a full Hartge H28 treatment from new, as fitted by HARTGE in Germany, prior to it coming to JAPAN as an import. Hartge modifications included a big block M30 engine and spec. The brake calipers, on the other hand, were original BMW E30 parts but came with a set of brake pads from Textar specified by Hartge.
