My mates just bought a G reg auto mk2 MR2, its a nice car, but it would be nicer if we knew what these buttons did. On the cennter console there are two buttons next to each other, one power and one manual.
They turn ECT lights on on the dash, but ive no idea what this means The one other button ive no idea what function it does, is a red circle on the top of the gear selector base. Its got. In a Toyota MR2, the red button typically refers to the turbo boost or power button found in turbocharged models.
When activated, this button allows the engine to generate higher boost. This Owner's Manual explains the operation of your new Toyota. Please read it thoroughly and have all the occupants follow the instructions carefully.
Doing so will help you enjoy many years of safe and trouble-free motoring. For important information about this manual and your Toyota, read the following pages carefully. I have this button with a hole next to it, 2004 mrs RHD ofc, can someone tell me what's the purpose of this button and what fills the hole next to it? Hello! My husband just gave me a red 2003 Spyder for our 20 anniversary and I love it! One question - on left-hand side of the dash there's a fat little red button that I can't figure out.
Don't see it in the user's manual. I like to think it's a passenger ejector seat but probably not. Can anyone help? I lengthened the horn wire and ground, got a nifty little button from Radioshack, drilled a hole in one of my switch panels, and viola! The cruise control wasn't quite a perfect fix, but it works now and damn does it feel good.
the g-limited was the entry model for the mr2, it's just a model name, if you have the auto there was only one real spec available which was the lower powered of the mk2 mr2 models althought there was a manual g-limited as well available in either the uk, us or jap markets. It's the red button next to the automatic gear shift lever has scripting in both black on white and white on black but doesn't appear to do anything when pressed in or depressed! The small red button when depressed will allow you to move the gear stick out of park mode when the car is not running without putting your foot on the brake. MANU mode makes the auto shift up a gear sooner in the rev range.
