Her style is a charming blend of rustic, industrial, and farmhouse elements, with a touch of modern elegance. She loves incorporating natural materials like wood and stone, and her color palette often includes warm, earthy tones. Joanna also has a penchant for mixing old and new, creating spaces that feel both timeless and fresh.

Signature Kitchen Elements

• Shiplap and Wood Accents: Joanna is notorious for her love of shiplap and wood accents. She often uses these materials to add texture and warmth to her kitchen designs.
• Open Shelving: Joanna frequently replaces upper cabinetry with open shelving to create a more open and airy feel. This also allows homeowners to display their favorite dishes and decorative items.
• Island with Seating: A kitchen island with built-in seating is a staple in Joanna's designs. It serves as a functional workspace and a cozy gathering spot.
• Mixed Metals: Joanna isn't afraid to mix metals in her kitchen designs. She often pairs brass or copper hardware with stainless steel appliances for a unique, eclectic look.
• Statement Lighting: Joanna loves using statement lighting fixtures to add a wow factor to her kitchens. Chandeliers, pendant lights, and even industrial-style pendant lights can make a significant impact.

From Drab to Fab: A Closer Look at Two Transformations

In the first transformation, Joanna and her team gutted the outdated kitchen, replacing it with a bright, airy space filled with natural light. They installed open shelving, a large island with seating, and statement lighting to create a functional and inviting space. The use of shiplap, wood accents, and mixed metals gives the kitchen Joanna's signature style.

In the second transformation, Joanna and her team tackled a dark, cramped kitchen. They opened up the space by removing a wall and installing a large island with seating. The new kitchen features open shelving, statement lighting, and a mix of materials, including wood, stone, and metal.
