The National Kitchen provided an excellent venue and aesthetics. However, the overwhelmed staff, uncomfortable seating near a crowd of waiting diners, and disappointing food quality detracted from the experience. The National Kitchen is a fairly small, elegant restaurant well hidden in the National Galley.

It has a lovely ambience and the staff are all impeccably presented. We were seated early and service was excellent and attentive. We tried some Peranakan dishes but found that they were too spicy for us.
