I'm guessing Ceratec and the sensor didn't get along well. That said, the Ceratec tech (molybdenum) is pretty well documented to reduce friction. Click to expand Molybdenum etc. are part of regular oil. Some companies use a lot of moly, other use some other additives. What you doing adding any additive is changing chemical composition of an oil.

Thoughts on Motul 8100 X-CESS 5w30 or Liqui Moly TOP TEC 4200 SAE 5w30? 40 weight seems a bit overkill since I'm not tracking the car (yet). If it is LL01/LL04 there is no functional difference between a 30 and 40 grade. Zip.

What are your recommendations regarding this? We had the car since brand new and it sits currently at over 243,000 miles. Oil change is due at around 246,000 God Willing. If I do this, it would be the first time this engine gets an engine flush and CeraTec. So far I only used Liqui Moly motor.

So i recently performed an oil service and flush using a bottle of Liqui Moly oil flush and then refilled with 5w30 Liqui Moly LL01. Then I added a bottle of Ceratec. I have driven about 450 miles and decided to look under the cap and saw this (image below). Prior to this, i had never seen any.
