Turkey Coloring Contest Winners

#Congratulations to the Turkey Coloring contest winners recognized by the City Council last evening. Awesome entries! Thank you to all who entered. We received almost 1,200 submissions for our annual Oh, You Turkey! coloring contest.

It was hard choosing only nine winners. Here they are! The annual coloring contest is brought to the City of Coronado through the generous donation of the Coronado Junior Women's Club.

All contest participants were rewarded with a Thanksgiving prize. All 152 entries are on display in the Coronado Community Center. Congratulations to all the winners!

Here are the 2016 winners of the coloring contest, as determined by public votes online. First-place entries each received a $100 gift card from Kroger, and the runners-up earned $25. News Winners of Coronado turkey coloring contest announced 192 entries will be on display at the Coronado Community Center through Dec. 2. The Declaration, in cooperation with several advertisers, sponsored its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Coloring Contest.

Left, Noah Cole of Independence won the contest for the 7-12 age group, and Layla Akers of Wytheville won in the 4. The Cass County Conservation Board held its annual Turkey Coloring Contest for kindergarten students in schools in Cass County, and winners were announced on Nov. 27.

Awards were given for first, second and third place.
