Those who want to win, have to be able to do without - that was the tagline for one of the rarest BMW M models ever. Fewer than ten were sold and there's scarcely been a M3 that was closer to a racing car. The extraordinary story of the BMW M3 GTR Street.

The E46 M3 GTR was developed for racing in the 2001 season of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), which briefly allowed manufacturers to use race cars with purpose-built racing engines, provided a small number of equivalent roadgoing examples were built.
