The R 18 from BMW Motorrad is an icon that keeps reinventing itself. Discover the timeless cruiser that celebrates Big Boxer culture. BMW has updated its five Big Boxer cruisers-the R 18, R 18 Classic, R 18 Roctane, R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental.

BMW announced a refreshed Big Boxer lineup, including Euro 5+ compliance, plus styling updates to the R 18 and R 18 Classic and fresh paint for the R 18 B, R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 Roctane. Expect all five variants to arrive in dealerships in the second quarter of 2025. Power from the 1,802 cc air/oil cooled boxer twin remains at 91 hp.

Offering increased torque, the Big Boxer now complies with Euro 5+ in all BMW R 18 models. A revision of the engine control now ensures compliance with the Euro 5+ standard. The maximum torque of the 67 kW (91 hp) 1,802 cc Big Boxer has been increased by 5 Nm to 163 Nm at 3,000.
