BMW announced updates to its M 1000 R and S 1000 R streetfighters, making them compliant with Euro5+ requirements and other revisions in line with M 1000 RR and S 1000 RR sportbikes. BMW's top-line nakedbike gets some new DTC settings and a new headlight for 2025. Like the M and S 1000 RR's, the M 1000 R gets the new 58° M Quick-Action throttle, which BMW claims brings a noticeable improvement in performance, especially in Race mode while at the track.

BMW's inline-four sportbikes get updates for 2025, with the M 1000 RR getting a new engine spec and electronic and aero updates. Sub models updated too. Additionally, the traction control DTC of the S 1000 R benefits from the revisions made to the DTC from the M 1000 R, further enhancing its performance.

The new dual-flow LED headlight, derived from the RR models, ensures a characteristic design and confident road illumination at night. For instance, the S 1000 RR is often referred to as the ultimate superbike by many enthusiasts, and the S 1000 R is easily one of the most VFM liter.
