According to Jato Dynamics data, the Ford F150 truck is no longer America's biggest. Ford F and Toyota TM are two well-recognized names in the global auto industry and fierce rivals in the U.S. market.

Toyota, the Japanese heavyweight, currently holds the No. 2 spot in the U.S. The auto industry had a banner 2025 in the US, despite major headwinds like high sticker prices, interest rates and tariffs.

There is a battle for vehicle sales supremacy in the US, with the Toyota RAV4 and Ford F. The Toyota RAV4 had been nipping at the heels of the Ford F-150 for some time, and finally overtook it on the 2024 U.S. sales charts.
