We designed, developed, and delivered over 15,000 chairs and indoor/outdoor seating pieces for global Shake Shack markets. As Shake Shack continues its growth into dozens of new markets-locations opened in Shanghai, Singapore, and the Philippines last year-Hsu's design imprint will likely follow (though the firm only works on high-profile openings). And the fast casual chain has left an equally important impact on Hsu's firm, too.

California The Brick Modern Hart Beat. Chipman Design was chosen as the architecture firm to assist Shake Shack in their national expansion program shortly before going public. Featuring the completion of two locations, one in Baltimore, Maryland the harbor section of the city as well as one in the new Queens Center Mall, Chipman worked with Shake Shack to provide Due Diligence and Schematic Design on another dozen locations for.
Shake Shack's restaurant expansion has been a savory opportunity to introduce the Shake Shack brand experience and serve up its delicious menu items to a growing list of locations all over the USA. Our collaborative project approach and trusted partnership with the fast-casual chain has allowed us to take on many roles with their internal team over the years, including prototype design. For Shake Shack's corporate headquarters, Uhuru designed custom conference tables, breakout tables for private offices, and accented the space with their iconic Shake Shack chairs and stools.
The lobby area features a live-edge walnut slab reception desk, a statement piece indicating an entry to a unique work environme.
