Jesus healed many people throughout His ministry. In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one was thankful. Jesus Heals Ten Lepers To Remember: We all have a lot to be thankful for.

Remind the children about the origin of Samaria. One day, Jesus appeared a little shocked that only one out of the 10 healed of leprosy recognized the marvelous thing that was just done for them; recognizing it enough to show appreciation anyway. Jesus wondered where the nines attitude of gratitude was.

Where is the simple "thank you" for all God has done? In Luke 17:11-19, 10 men asked Jesus to heal them. He told them to go show themselves to the priest as the Old Testament directed, and on their way, they were healed.

They all were pleased, but just one man returned to give Jesus thanks-and this man was a Samaritan. The lesson activities below highlight this important event in Jesus' ministry.
