It was an updated version of Silken Flame #977 (1960-1961). The same pattern that was used for Silken Flame was also used for Party Date, along with the same skirt fabric.

Vintage Barbie 1963 Party Date #958, early Barbie fashion complete. No doll or case included but I am including the faux pearl earrings. Sparkling white satin, strapless dress with flocked and gold glittered full skirt.
