I was scheduled to pickup my New BMW x5 on Thursday August 8. When I arrived at the Dealership I was told about the Stop Sale Notice from BMW NA. I immediately called the Manufacturing Facility in Greer, SC and spoke with the Production Team, who directed me to the Recall Support Team.

New X5 sitting at dealership for 2 months I ordered a 2024 X5 that has been delivered to the dealership but now sitting there for 2 months due to a stop sale for two recalls. The car is paid for, registered in my name, and insured by me but I haven't been able to take delivery even though the car is drivable. My X5 x40i was made on April 13.
I've been waiting for PCD delivery but I got a call this week that there's a stop sale on the vehicle and my pcd delivery was cancelled. Then they continued to make and sell umpteen thousands of defective vehicles to the public until six months later they issued a stop sale order to the dealers. I had a 2024 X5 made in mid March and delivered in April and found that my VIN is part of this recall.
I'm not a lawyer but could this borders on criminal negligence?
