No prior performance-driving experience is required except for Advanced M School, which requires previous participation in regular M School or an equivalent performance driving school. Driving schools have been extremely popular with performance-oriented owners of all cars, but none more so than BMW drivers.
BMW Car Club of America chapters have hosted driving schools around the country since the 1970s. Our North Star Chapter offers three types of schools: Advanced Driving Skills for Adults High. GVC's Ultimate Driving School teaches advanced driving techniques, and is the main component of our High-Performance Driver Education (HPDE) program.
Our school integrates in-car instruction with classroom learning, and often includes extras such as infield paddock exercises, and guided "track walks". The newly revamped and wildly successful A+ program takes the traditional "safe" BMW CCA teaching and introduces an alternate look to performance driving, by providing exercises that increase and promote your spatial awareness, expand your vision, and train your brain to tackle alternative lines and advance techniques. BMW Driving Experiences offer a quick fix of speed in a variety of settings.
