Before downloading the torrent file, there is information about loaders (for example, in version ISTA-P 3.66.2.002 "There are 2 loaders in the distribution, version 6.4 is only for ICOM, without emulators").

What is strange is that the ISTA/P installation instructions, from the download I have, show an ICOM emulator icon on the BMW toolbar, but the emulators are missing when I start up ISTA/P (see attached image). It describes downloading and installing the software, setting up the K-DCAN, ENET, and ICOM adapters, and troubleshooting potential issues.
Settings are provided for the ISTA-P Loader program, EDIABAS installation, configuring the K. You will have a folder named ISTA-P Go to C:\ProgramData\ Create the followind folders BMW\ISPI\Data\TRIC\ then put your freshly unziped ISTA-P in TRIC C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\Data\TRIC\ISTA-P You can now launch ISTA-P loader.exe it will ask for registration key open the activion key file copy/paste the key Et voila You will need an ICOM. ICOM Emu w/o dongle for ISID, ISTA-D/P and Gini's snap shot method I've got a version of ISID / ISTA-D/P (refer to the bottom of post #8 below) that is compatible with even an ICOM Emulator.
Member 'Gini' provided files of an ICOM Emulator 'Snap Shot', but of course I have no associated dongle. I still use Standard Tools for most things but ISTA-D is a great diagnostic tool. The native install can be updated by simply replacing the ISTAP folder from a newer version.
WSM will not be updated of course and ISPI NEXT will soon take over anyway. Best of all, both work with a £30 K+DCAN cable. Albeit ISTA.
