Bmw Scanner Hardware Is Not Ready
I bought a BMW Scanner 1.4 from xcar360.com and it arrived this weekend, it worked flawlessly on the first day of using it. I was able to clear codes and checked some of the shadow errors ("those are weird errors btw but I assume they are ok to ignore") The next day I tried to experiment with. Like the title says I am getting an error that states "Hardware is Not Ready" I have a pa soft scanner running 1.4 I have tried 2 computers running windows 7 ultimate 32 bit with a usb cable.

I've just installed the demo version of PA Soft BMW Scanner 1.4.0 on my windows 10 laptop (and ran with compatibility mode for Windows 7), and the program opens and seems to work ok. But then when I connect the OBDII dongle to the laptop by USB, turn on the ignition, and click 'Car Ident', I get. I have the BMW Scanner 1.4.0 OBD device along with a pac-man 21 pin adapter for my '99 528i, and I cannot get the drivers installed correctly.
Every time I open the program, it shows that the device isn't connected, but the driver are installed. The error it was throwing was, "Hardware is not ready". My Windows machine (actually an XP VM) was happily detecting the "BMW Scanner" device as I plugged and unplugged it, and PASoft said that the device was there.

has anyone really used this system recently ive been trying to get this thing working for about a week now and every time i plug the tool in it just says faulty hardware ive tried at least 5 different drivers and ive only found 1 that actully gets pa soft to recognize the drivers but after pluging it in the scanner blinks orange 7 times then it says hardware faulty, the weird thing is to the. The only problem now is that i cant read any data from my F32 (420i from 2014) is this because my BMW scanner V1.4.0.7 (14-01-2009) is to old to read my car? Is there a better newer tool to use with this?
