Facts About Khufu Pharaoh

The Great Pyramid was built for Pharaoh Khufu around 2580–2560 BCE. Original height: 146.6 meters (481 feet). Base length: 230.4 meters. Estimated stone blocks: 2.3 million, each weighing tons. What most people don't see is what's inside — a full internal architecture of chambers, passages, and relieving chambers protecting the structure. The Grand Gallery, King's Chamber, Queen's Chamber, and Subterranean Chamber were connected by ascending and descending passages. Above the King's Chamber, five relieving chambers spread the pyramid's weight. Every stone was placed with astonishing precision using tools older than iron. Explore ancient Egypt on Nibble.

Their kings once ruled Egypt itself as the 25th Dynasty. Their warrior queens, the kandakes, took on Rome and negotiated terms with Augustus. And the script they left behind still hasn't been fully deciphered. Why do you think Kush vanished from the history books most of us were taught?
