Shadowflame Hades Dye is a Hardmode Dye sometimes obtained from giving Strange Plants to the Dye Trader. When applied, it turns the item violet and adds fire effects that trail behind the player. Dyes are cosmetic items that can be placed in the Dye Slots of a player's inventory to alter the colors/textures of equipped armor, vanity items, and accessories.
