Each family will receive a family game/ family household item/1 dozen home baked cookies Parents are given "credits" to use to shop for new gifts for each of their children. Through their annual Christmas Cottage program, GRACE Grapevine provides new, unwrapped gifts to families facing financial hardship due to a limited income or a recent emergency.
Each qualified family is given a hypothetical "budget" that allows the parents to "purchase" donated toys, home goods, and appliances in a private, store. A wonderful perk of the GRACE Christmas Cottage is that every family leaves with a family gift. These special gifts are items that the entire family can enjoy.
However, with the many families that the Christmas Cottage serves, it can be a challenge to keep a variety of family gifts on the shelves. Our Christmas Cottage needs you! This Saturday, the magic of the GRACE Christmas Cottage begins, and we need help moving into our space to build the Cottage into a sweet surprise between 9am - 3pm! The GRACE Christmas Cottage has been locked in! Yes, we know we still have fall leaves and turkey in our near future but Cottage moves in THIS Saturday 11/8! Each year, GRACE's Christmas Cottage provides families facing financial hardship, a unique "shopping" experience by allowing parents to select new, unwrapped gifts for their children.
