Overwatch Network Graph

The Netgraph (Shift+Ctrl+N by default) feature will display a large graph with several pieces of information on the screen. For more information on this feature, including how to toggle it on and off, refer to Diagnosing Overwatch 2 Network Problems. I'm not going to draw you graphs, or give you detailed networking schematics and explanations, or etc.

I'm just going to boil it down to the basic idea. Overwatch does some pretty impressive things on it's networking environment side of things. In this video we take a look at the Performance Overlay, the Network Graph and the Performance icons in Overwatch.

I also show you 2 very odd issues that I encountered during my tests which raise. On the PC version of Overwatch, if you press CTRL + SHIFT + N you will open the Network Graph. In there, you will see some obvious values like the server that you are playing in (in this case, sae1 is Brazil), the IP of it and other information.

What does each value on the Network Graph means? Overwatch uses adaptive Interpolation Delay, aiming to keep the yellow latency line below the blue interpolation line. If latency goes above interpolation, it's highlighted orange in the graph.

Net Graph Overlay Thing So I was playing the open beta (I'm loving it btw, I was skeptical but now I'm 100% going to buy the game asap) But I mashed a few left hand keys because of some spacial circumstances - and I opened this net graphy overlay. A fairly decent amount of player in Overwatch have toggled "performance information" on and or using the network graph information without understanding the displayed information provided by Overwatch. To get the correct IP you will actually need to open up the game and go Practice Vs AI or Quick Play and if you are on PC hit Ctrl+Shift+N and it will bring up the ingame network diagnostic graph, or go to Video > Options > Display Network Performance Graph if you are on any platform including Console.
