How to Find the Domain of a Function
Teach Domain with this easy hand-drawn algebra infographic! Students learn that the domain is the set of all possible input values of a function, how to check restrictions, and when to exclude values for denominators, even roots, and logarithms. Includes examples, interval notation, graph visuals, and simple notes for finding valid x-values. Perfect for middle school math, high school algebra, homeschool lessons, classroom anchor charts, functions practice, and quick revision. Representing the domain and range for a relation
This is just a super quick post sharing a domain and range of graphs reference and a video showing examples of how to find domain and range from a graph. The sheet above connects a graph's arrows to its domain and range. In the video I go over a few examples and show how to use the sheet.
Graphic titled "Finding The Domain and Range, Continuous Functions." Below is a graph for the function y=-x^2 for x<2. An orange arrow labeled Range is on the left of the graph pointing up. A brown arrow labeled domain on the bottom of the graph left
Domain and range can be so tricky! Domain is all the x-values and how far to the left and right the graph goes. Range is all the y-values and how low or high a graph goes. Color coding is a great idea!
