Limit Of An Absolute Value Function

This worksheet asks students to consider some limits involving absolute value. These types of limits can often be confusing for students when they encounter them for the first time. The student is asked to graph a function containing an absolute value and then they are asked to evaluate several limits. This is appropriate for AP Calculus AB and BC. A detailed answer key is provided. You might also enjoy this complete lesson on techniques for evaluating limits algebraically: -Finding Limits Algebraically

Limit Of Absolute Value

This product is designed to provide practice evaluating limits of piecewise-defined functions and absolute value functions. Students are required to evaluate both one-sided and two-sided limits. A few of the problems involve limits written in the indeterminant form. Previous knowledge of evaluating limits written in the indeterminant form is necessary to complete the practice activities. This product includes two versions of the Limits of Piecewise and Absolute Value Practice Worksheet. I usually assign the first practice activity to my class as either a classwork or a homework assignment. Then I give the second practice activity to any students that need additional practice or as additional practice prior to an assessment.Included in this resource: Limits Algebraically: Piecewise-defi
