The Wisps save Sonic from the cannon's destruction and take him back to Earth. They then say goodbye and teleport away along with their planets. The ending seemed stitched together like extra scenes could be added in-between to add more stuff.

And maybe the pointless running level would have been different. Like maybe he goes super sonic and saves himself instead of being saved by others. Is there a secret or extended ending?
