Bmw Alpina B12

The Alpina B12 is a name given to high-performance luxury automobiles manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Alpina. The B12 originally succeeded the B11 4.0 in 1988 which was based on the BMW 7 Series (E32) and was also based on the same car. [1].

With this "light-hearted" proclamation, ALPINA founder Burkard Bovensiepen introduced the BMW ALPINA B12 5.7 Coupé to the press in 1992.

As the RUF of BMWs, Alpina is a master of balancing performance with luxury, and the 1992-94 B12 is its ultimate flagship. The greatest BMW E31 8 Series ever built may be the stillborn M8 prototype, powered by the 6.1-liter S70/1, the V-12 that was soon developed into McLaren's S70/2. The B12 5.0 is a much better handling car than the 750i.

New Bilstein dampers and springs are fitted and together with the 17in Alpina alloys with 235/45 tires at front and 265/40 tires at rear and ASC the grip is outstanding. ALPINA gives us a rare look at one of the most desirable cars it has ever built, the B12 5.7 Coupe based on the BMW 850 CSi (E31). The B12 Coupe started life as an already-cool BMW 850CSi, but Alpina decided to bore the 5.6-litre V12 out to 5.7-litres before fitting a modified intake, crankshaft, camshaft and stainless.
