How Do Medications Affect Libido?
Certain medications prescribed by your doctors may lower testosterone, leading to low libido.
For example, medication to lower blood pressure like beta-blockers and ace inhibitors may affect erection or delay ejaculation. Other medications that can lower testosterone levels include:
chemotherapy, radiotherapy
cimetidine which is used for heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd)
anabolic steroids, which may be used by athletes to increase muscle mass
antidepressants
if you’re experiencing the symptoms of low testosterone, consult your doctor. They may advise you to switch medications.
