What are Thomas Color Sheets?
Thomas Color Sheets are a revolutionary wall covering solution developed by the renowned wallpaper manufacturer, Thomas & Betts. Unlike traditional wallpaper, which is typically printed on paper, Thomas Color Sheets are produced on a durable, non-woven substrate. This material is not only robust and easy to apply but also offers exceptional environmental credentials, making it a sustainable choice for modern homes.
Benefits of Thomas Color Sheets
- Eco-friendly: Manufactured using recycled materials and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Thomas Color Sheets are a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious consumers.
- Durable and easy to clean: The non-woven substrate is tough, resistant to tears, and can be easily wiped clean, making it ideal for high-traffic areas and homes with children or pets.
- Versatile and customizable: Available in a wide range of colors and patterns, Thomas Color Sheets can be painted over, allowing for endless design possibilities. They can also be removed and replaced with ease, making them perfect for rented properties or those undergoing frequent redecorating.
- Cost-effective: Despite their high-quality and sustainability, Thomas Color Sheets are surprisingly affordable. They also require fewer resources to install than traditional wallpaper, further reducing costs.
Applying Thomas Color Sheets
One of the most appealing aspects of Thomas Color Sheets is their ease of application. Unlike traditional wallpaper, which requires paste and careful alignment, these sheets can be applied using a simple water-activated adhesive. This not only makes the installation process faster and less messy but also reduces the risk of damage to the walls.
Step-by-Step Application Guide
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Prepare your walls by sanding down any rough areas and filling in any holes or cracks. |
| 2 | Measure and cut your Thomas Color Sheets to size, allowing for a small overlap at the top and bottom. |
| 3 | Wet the back of the sheet with water using a spray bottle or roller, ensuring even coverage. |
| 4 | Apply the sheet to the wall, starting from the top and working your way down. Use a smoothing tool to remove any air bubbles and ensure even adhesion. |
| 5 | Allow the sheet to dry for 24 hours before painting or decorating. |
