The course details all aspects of first aid but it is taught from a pitch-side basis so it is much more relevant for therapists and practitioners who will be working with sports people and teams. A large proportion of the course will be taught out of doors, regardless of weather conditions so please bring full rain gear and appropriate clothing. The course also involves full training in the use of the automatic external defibrillators (aed), which is essential for any sports therapist.
How much does it cost?
Leitrim sports partnership are running a sports first aid training on saturday 13th october 9. 30am-4. 30pm in leitrim county council offices. This course is ideal for coaches and volunteers who deal with sports injuries or for those who
offer
immediate emergency care at sporting / training events. The aim is to provide relevant training to personnel to protect and treat those who become injured or unwell during training events or competition. The course covers most of the situations which can arise at the scene of an accident or emergency. It will cover: vital signs, accident procedure, injury management, airway management, common medical emergencies-fainting, diabetic emergencies, burns, haemorrhage control, sprains and strains, and spinal injuries etc.
Endorsed certificate of achievement from the quality licence scheme after successfully completing the course, learners will be able to order an endorsed certificate as proof of their new achievement. Endorsed certificates can be ordered and get delivered to your home by post for only £109. There is an additional £10 postage charge for international students. Iao accredited certification from one education after successfully completing the mcq assessment of this course, you will qualify for the iao accredited certificate from one education, as proof of your continued professional development. Certification is available in pdf format, at the cost of £9, or a hard copy can be sent to you via post, at the cost of £15.
