At the start of treatment for plantar fasciitis, it is important to support the arch with an OTC arch support—wrapping the arch with disposable wraps or coban. When treating long term, custom orthotics are usually the best choice.

Plantar Fasciitis is usually centrally located on the heel or arch and it is strongest early in the morning, or whenever you wake up. Heel pain can be treated with a conservative approach in 98% of all cases—usually with minimally invasive injections at the point of pain.
